Flying Saturday 5 January 2013

It might have been hot in Adelaide on Friday but Saturday at Stonefield was quite pleasant due to the cool change arriving overnight, albeit with a fairly breezy southerly all day. We operated the K-13 all day with Leigh Stokes performing most of the winching duties. Two AEFs also turned up which made for a long day (flying until 1800).

The Club welcomes two new members: Greg Cook and Harry Penfold.

Congratulations to Leigh Stokes who went solo later in the day and to Nat Shearer for completing the requirements of the C certificate and passenger rating.

The winch cables, drogues and traces are in dire need of attention, a half day of winch maintenance is being proposed by Redmond Quinn prior to coaching week to work on this and other winch issues.
