It was a rather good day for soaring, with 6-8kt thermals and everyone getting plenty of air time. The day concluded with an AWESOME dinner provided by Darren, and a superb bonfire provided by several lopped branches of the gum tree beside the clubhouse. Leigh arrived late at the airfield, as he had attended the SAGA AGM earlier in the day, and he brought with him an impressive haul of trophies that he and Derek Spencer had won for the 2017 season.
