A fun day at Stonefield. Harry and Derek Spencer went to Robertstown and back in the K13. Best climb of the day was a thermal that started out at 15 kts then settled down to a steady 12 kts. They couldn’t tell how well it was going during the flight as the vario was pegged on the top stop at 5m/s. It was only by looking at the trace from the Flarm afterwards that Leigh worked out how good the thermal really was. Average speed was only 55km/h. The final glide was at 107 km/h.
