Neither Saturday nor Sunday were the soaring days we were hoping for. On Saturday the forecast looked really promising, so Teal was all set to have another crack at her Silver distance (50kms) plus maybe even the 5 hour duration if things went to plan. Unfortunately they did not. There was not one thermal on Saturday. Flight of the Day was 18mins. And Sunday’s weather was even worse.
Despite the uncooperative weather there was fun to be had, with an AEF getting her first glider flights, trainees getting some training and various other folk getting a bit of airtime.
A Rans S6 from Truro Flats dropped in for Sunday breakfast. The pilot was cheerfully persuaded by Nicola to take her for a joyride.
