An excellent day’s flying with both the K13 and the Motorfalke operating. It was a fine winter soaring day, with much flying done by everyone. The K13 got a good workout, with Derek Spencer and Cath Conway instructing.
Leigh took several of people up for extended flights in the Motorfalke, and checked out several local airstrips. Teal got an hour of soaring in the Motorfalke, which was hisfirst opportunity to fly a motorglider. He said that, whilst the side-by-side seating arrangement took a bit of getting used to, he was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Motorfalke thermalled rather better than he was anticipating.
