Half a dozen students from Ryukoku University in Japan are going to descend on Stonefield from 7th to 13th February to fly our aircraft in our great Australian summer thermal conditions (assuming our summer is about to improve!). They will turn up at about 4.00pm on Sunday 6th for briefing and to deal with the paperwork. If you are at Stonefield helping with the hangar or flying please make them welcome.
Catherine Conway and Redmond Quinn will be providing support and instruction to the group through the week. We would love to get some help from club members driving the winch etc. The Japanese pilots will be primarily utilizing the Puchatek and the Club Libelle. The PIK will be mostly free. If you are a PIK pilot and can organize a day you could do a bit of winching and then shoot through in the PIK. Please let Redmond know if you can help on any day.
The visitors will still be being utilising the Puchatek and Club Libelle on Sat/Sun 12/13 February, so club operations will be significantly curtailed that weekend. However, the PIK and Motorfalke will still be available.
