Tuesday morning saw Greg Newbold, Igor and Tim Bates resume searching for the trace; it was eventually recovered. We have now fairly thoroughly searched the eastern quadrant and south-eastern corner of the airfield and are reasonably confident there are no stray traces in those areas.
Igor had a couple of check-rides with Greg and then took the Puchatek for around three-quarters of an hour while Greg took MI for a similar amount of time. Tim then flew half-a-dozen launches with Anne Philcox when he found all the weak spots in the cables and ropes before Anne let him re-solo. Tim flew a few solo circuits before everyone had had enough. Jon and Tim hangared MI and KRO.
Quote of the day, from Anne: “You can be a bit more forthright with your stick… yeah I know, that’s what she said etc etc.”
