Sunday was a lot of fun even if we didn’t have long flights. BVGC were out in force. Stonefield was surrounded by thundersqualls most of the day and, though there was lift, it was a matter of when you launched that determined how long you flew. Or, in the case of John and Ted Bowden, if John listened to Ted’s bad advice or not. “Lets go under that black wall of cloud, that will be the best lift”. Oops, wrong.
