Sunday started a bit late and was already stinking hot by the time operations commenced at around 12. Derek Spencer finalised a conversion for Igor to fly the Pik and two 5 minute circuits followed. Jon Keatley took MI for a 23 minute excursion up one thermal whilst KRO under the control of Peter completed another couple of soaring flights and circuits for the three trainees and one guest. Operations were cancelled at 4:30 because nobody wants to bash circuits in 45 degree heat!
We have a 4 new members – a new junior trainee, a resigned member from 2009 and two members who flew with Adelaide Soaring Club a few years ago!
Operationally, the winch is having chronic overheating issues.
