Cu’s started popping around 10:30am but were quite low. As the day progressed, cloud base got higher and peaked around 5400’ later in the afternoon.
Most of the thermals found were consistent and reasonably strong. On the flight Derek Spencer had with John D, John found a thermal that gave them about 5 knots of climb and occasionally peaking up to 8 knots.
Tom Wilksch got flight of the day in GMI with 1 hr 33 mins.
KRO did 8 flights and got just over 2 hours, only because Andrew S missed out on a thermalling flight and got circuits instead.
