A pretty good day of flying at YSFG today. Derek Spencer had a 40 min ‘sniffer’ flight in the K13, launching just after midday. Thermals were averaging about 2 kts with the occasional thermal at 4 -5 kts. He topped out at 4000′ but later flights were going to 5000′ or more.
Flight of the day was Leigh who had nearly 3 hrs (would’ve had more if the winch driving had been better) but despite the delay he still managed a 186 km XC flight in his ASW20.
