The day started as hot & humid but soon cooled down as a fresh southerly breeze and 8 octas of overcast came through. We discovered the winch front engine had zero oil indicated on the dip stick and alas, no oil on field so James headed back to Truro to buy some.
There was only one trainee but with one trace missing from the previous weekend we were restricted to one cable operation with the winch. The flights were just circuits with a fair cross wind on launch from RWY 11. About 8 training flights were conducted with no cable or weak link breaks.
Showers eventually descended on the field and we packed up ops around 1600. Dennis Medlow found the missing trace in the field after a long search and Redmond Quinn made up a new one with his new patented sister clip replacement mechanism at the end of the day.
