Congratulations to Teal Evans for converting to the K8 on Sunday 8 January 2017. This was her first ever single seater conversion. She obviously enjoyed it as she spent 1 hr and 22 minutes on her first flight. Well done Teal! Congratulations also to Leigh Stokes who did 743km (OLC Scoring Distance) on Friday in his ASW20. We believe that this is the absolute (not handicapped) longest distance flight flown by an AUGC Member out of Stonefield. Finally, Derek Spencer did 543km in the Motorfalke on Friday which got him 5th place on the OLC for the day. This was the 3d best result on OLC points ever logged from Stonefield and the best for the past three years. This feat received many favourable comments on Facebook such as “Skills instead of glide angle” and “I think there is so much adrenaline pumping that you could also ride on a broomstick. These are honestly earned 1000 points”.
