Flinders Camp June Long Weekend

The weather was kind to us in that there was no rain once we got up there apart from a very light drizzle when we arrived on the Friday. The wind wasn’t the nicest on the Saturday but the ridge was working well on the Sunday. Monday was a little more difficult to work the ridge and there was wave around that Leigh got into in his ASW20. Cath and Darren got into it in the Dimona right over the middle of the Pound. Tuesday had wave too which Leigh got into again.

Apart from the leaf springs on both sides of the 6×4 trailer snapping on the way up to the Flinders, it all went well. Leigh, Ben and Derek did some Bush Mechanics on the 6×4 and using nothing but what came from the trailer and some wood, they got the trailer mobile enough for it to be towed back to Adelaide, albeit slowly.
